We operate three types of fare levels and each one offers a particular set of benefits. You can learn more about each at www.volaris.mx

This will depend on the fare level you purchased.

  • In the Want to save unlimited changes with charges and Customer must pay difference in fares if applicable A charge of $35 USD + VAT  for unlimited changes. If there is a fare difference, Client must cover that difference
  • In the Want to Travel fare level, unlimited changes with charges and Customer must pay difference in fares if applicable A charge of $25 USD + VAT  for unlimited changes. If there is a fare difference, Client must cover that differenceChanges will be accepted up to four hours before your flight.
  • In the Want It All fare level, changes are unlimited and at no charge, however if the ticket has a different price on the date of your change, you will be required to cover the difference.


Name changes and cancellations are not permitted on any of the fare levels, in other words, the ticket is non transferable and the amount paid may not be refunded or used towards another reservation. When you price a fare on our home page www.volaris.mx, under the tab labeled “Airfare Only ”, you will find the following text, “Promotion Code and Coupon”, for further reference, please download the pdf.

You can review this at www.volaris.mx in the tab labeled “Review your itinerary". Please remember that when you buy online you will receive your itinerary by email 24 hours after making your payment.

This will depend on the fare level you requested. The number of bags you check in is not limited as long as you do not exceed the weight limit corresponding to the purchased fare level.

  • In the Want to Save fare level, you are allowed a maximum weight of 15 kg (33 lbs) on domestic flights and 25 kg (55 lbs) on international flights.
  • In the Want to Travel fare level, you are allowed a maximum weight of 25 kg (55 lbs) on domestic flights and 35 kg (77 lbs) on international flights.
  • On the Want it All fare level, you are allowed a maximum weight of 35 kg (77 lbs) on domestic flights and 45 kg (99 lbs) on international flights.


If you exceed this number of kilograms, you will have to pay for excess weight at a charge of $100 MXN per extra kilogram on domestic flights and USD$ 10 on international flights. You can make cash payments at any of the following locations: Sanborns, Oxxo, Sears, Inbursa, Dorians, Banamex, HSBC, Telecomm Telegraph, and Dax. For further details, visit www.volaris.mx/CambiaBoleto.aspx and then go to “Purchasing Outlets”.

It's very simple. When traveling on any of our international flights, and upon arrival into the United States, you connect with Southwest Airlines to any one of their destinations. For more information please visit www.volaris.mx/Empresa.aspx in the section titled “Partnership with Southwest Airlines”.

We offer courier and delivery services, including preferential or express services, from the airport in the city of origin to the destination airport. Please contact our Cargo Services Department at 5261 6400, or email cargo@volaris.com.mx

Shuttle services are offered exclusively to our Clients, so you need to have a boarding pass to use them.

To travel to Toluca from Santa Fe, you can check in at the Aero Virtual Santa Fe Terminal as long as you arrive at least 100 minutes before your flight time. We guarantee that, once you are in the shuttle, you will board the flight. We also offer shuttle services from the Camino Real Perinorte Hotel to the Toluca Airport, and all you have to do is arrive at least two and a half hours before your flight departure.

At the Hermosillo Airport, we offer shuttle services to the following locations, Agua Prieta, Caborca, Cananea, Ciudad Obregon, Guaymas-San Carlos, Magdalena, Navojoa, Nogales, and Santa Ana. Fares vary according to the final destination and can be checked on www.terraris.com.mx. ?

Also, from the Cancun Airport, we offer shuttle services that can take your right up to your hotel (anywhere in the Cancun Hotel District). Please note the last stop is at the Plaza Las Avenidas and this is a service offered to our clients by Mayatours.

From the north Cuernavaca city area, we take you to the Toluca Airport and back.

In Puebla, we offer shuttle services to the city airport. We ask that you please show up two hours prior to your scheduled flight departure.

Finally, and from Tijuana, we offer shuttle services to downtown San Diego, California, San Ysidro and vice versa. This is a service offered by Crucero ground transportation and offered exclusively to our clients.

Listed prices are per client and per trip. Please remember that to use this service you have to show your flight boarding pass and your shuttle service ticket.

If upon landing your flight is not arriving at its scheduled time (with a 30 minute tolerance window) or if your checked in baggage does not arrive at your destination, we will reward you with an electronic credit. The amount of the credit will depend on the fare level you booked. In the Want to Save fare level, this guarantee does not apply. The Want to Travel fare level will reimburse 50% of the fare. The Want it All fare level will reimburse 100% of the fare. These refunds do not include taxes and can be claimed at our Call Center.

If your baggage does not arrive, you are entitled to an electronic credit, which will vary according to the fare level you booked.

In the Want to Save fare level, this guarantee does not apply. In the Want to Travel fare level, you will be reimbursed 50% of the purchased fare. The Want it All fare level reimburses 100%.

All refunds will be in the form of an electronic credit, which are valid for 90 days from the issued date and are non transferable and may not be combined with other promotions.

Taxi services will charge depending on your final destination. At the Aero Virtual Santa Fe Terminal we offer secure taxi service located inside the parking lot and offering controlled and affordable rates. You can request information or contract these services upon arrival at the window located outside the service desks.
