Volaris to Transport Two Tons of Support and Hope to the Inhabitants of the Sierra Tarahumara Region
• The two-ton donation of food and clothing was sent to Chihuahua to support Tarahumara families
Volaris, the airline featuring the most attractive fares and promotions in Mexico, announced today the implementation of a “Support Airplane” that is to serve as an air shuttle that will transport food, clothing, and other items to the collection centers assisting the Tarahumaras in the State of Chihuahua. The project is part of Volaris’ permanent social responsibility campaign, “Volemos Juntos”.
At this time, Volaris is joining the cause to help the Tarahumaras by transporting two tons of food and clothing items in 187 boxes.
Collection for the shipment was coordinated by Ms. Adriana Sosa Solís, and departed Mexico City’s International Airport (AICM) on Volaris flight 726 for Chihuahua on January 26 at 18:00 hrs., where it was received by representatives of the Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense, A.C. (FECHAC) organization, charged with distributing the help to affected communities.
