Volaris Opens New Culiacán – Los Angeles Service | New Routes

Volaris, the airline featuring the most attractive fares and promotions in Mexico, announced today the introduction of a new route, Culiacán–Los Angeles, to start operations this coming August 4th. The new service will help Volaris strengthen its position as one of the Mexican airlines with the greatest presence in Los Angeles, one of the most important cities in the US and worldwide.

José Calderoni, Volaris Marketing and Sales Director, explained how the route will enable the Los Angeles Hispanic community to access a new travel alternative to Mexico, while bringing the Culiacán community a new opportunity to travel to this widely visited destination.

“Los Angeles is a city with a strong Mexican community and along those lines, for Volaris it is a great opportunity to unite them, bringing families together with the new service. Further, the Culiacán community now has more access to the Greater Los Angeles area, with everything ranging from theme parks and Hollywood, Mecca for the movie and worldwide entertainment industry”, said Calderoni.

Calderoni also explained that previously, the Mexican community in Los Angeles could travel to Culiacán, however, with a stopover in Guadalajara. The new service offers a direct flight, with a significant time-savings and the usual outstanding service, comfort, and affordability Volaris has become known for.

The new service helps Volaris consolidate positioning as a strong alternative for the US Hispanic market, now with six non-stop flights from Los Angeles to different cities in Mexico, including Morelia, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Mexico City, and now Culiacán, plus connecting flights to Cancún, Monterrey, and La Paz.

Departing Culiacán, Sinaloa, at 15:25 hrs., arriving Los Angeles, California, at 16:50 hrs.
Departing Los Angeles, California, at 18:10 hrs., arriving Culiacán, Sinaloa at 21:30 hrs.
