A complete success was the unveiling of the new 2012 Chivas USA jersey at 30,000 feet in the air during a volaris flight | Activations & Aliances
During an unprecedented event and before international media, the Red and White revealed its new design.
Carson, CA (Wednesday, February 15, 2012) – Chivas USA announced today that the club unveiled its new home jersey for the 2012 MLS season during Volaris Flight 912 between the cities of Guadalajara and Los Angeles while flying at 30,000 feet in the air; Volaris is the Mexican Airline with the best fares and promotions.
“The unveiling of the new Chivas USA jersey was a unique event in soccer history and in line with the innovative ideas that the Red and White organization constantly develops. The event was a success, and when you start off on the right foot, all finishes well,” commented Rodrigo Morales, Vice President of Marketing and Sponsorship for the Goats. “We are certain that this jersey we have ‘kicked off’ today will set the tone and direction the team will take on the pitch, which in turn will provide much joy and happiness for our fans during this 2012 season. We are hopeful that this is the jersey with which we will raise Chivas USA’s first MLS Cup in its history. Additionally, we would like to thank our sponsors for their support: Corona, adidas, and Volaris, because of them we were able to have this very successful event.”
The unveiling on board Volaris Flight 912 consisted of individual interviews between the Media, players and executives for Chivas USA, Corona, adidas and Volaris. The event is considered unique and only of its kind in the history of soccer with a runway style presentation that featured a cocktail, videos and the participation of the ChivaGirls, as well as national and international media members.
Some of the media that covered the event during Flight 912 were: Fox Sports West, ESPN SportsCenter, Televisa, MLSsoccer.com, ESPN.com, Azteca America; daily’s La Opinion, Medio Tiempo, and Mural, as well as travel magazines, En El Aire and Travel Times, and radio group Radiorama.
Volaris participated in this event showcasing its excellent customer service, while joining Red and White fans in the celebration of the new home jersey for Chivas USA which was also presented to the Goats’ supporters and general public today through its web page at cdchivasusa.com and its social media Facebook page at facebook.com/chivasusa.
